Gate Eleven Chronicles

Stories Worth Savoring

Some whiskey brands tell stories.

Gate Eleven Chronicles was created so the stories become the brand.

The idea began with something that had always been part of Gate Eleven. Founder and Master Distiller Bill Lee has never viewed these small-batch whiskeys as simply recipes or limited releases. Each one was inspired by a real person whose life left a mark on his family, Tennessee, or the traditions that shaped American whiskey.

What was missing wasn't the stories.

It was the thread connecting them.

Bantam developed Gate Eleven Chronicles as the unifying platform for the distillery's collection of small-batch whiskeys. Rather than releasing individual products with unrelated names, every whiskey now becomes another chapter in an ongoing series. Together, they form a growing collection of people, places, and moments worth remembering.

The name Chronicles was chosen intentionally. A chronicle is more than a collection. It is an ongoing record. That simple idea transformed the portfolio from a series of whiskey releases into something much larger. Every future expression now has a natural place within the family, creating an identity that can grow for decades without needing to be reinvented.

The concept also reshaped the customer experience.

Guests aren't simply tasting different whiskeys.

They're meeting the people who inspired them.

Thomas Young. Ross + McClatchey. Larkin Bridges.

Each bottle becomes a character. Each release becomes another chapter. Each visit to the distillery becomes an opportunity to discover another story.

The idea extends well beyond the bottle. From packaging and merchandising to storytelling, environmental design, and the tasting room experience, Gate Eleven Chronicles creates a platform that invites guests to slow down, pour a glass, and spend time with the history behind every release.

Today, Gate Eleven Chronicles serves as one of the clearest expressions of Bantam's philosophy. Great brands don't simply sell products.

They preserve stories, create emotional connections, and give people something worth coming back for.
